Looking back at 2015

Another year has flown by already. 2015 has had its highs and lows but it was the year I really got into blogging and I have made a really lovely group of blogging friends (whom I am yet to meet!) There is so much I want to do blogging wise this year so I am excited in what it will bring.

M will be starting pre-school 5 mornings a week in September and I’m really not sure how I feel about that… on one hand I will have my friday mornings free but on the other, I will miss being able to do things just the two of us… My boys are growing up far too quickly and I don’t like it!

Here is a little round-up of our year.

January
I wrote about my blogging goals for 2015 and I am really pleased to say that I managed to achieve my list – and more! I have a whole new set of goals I want to achieve for 2016 which I will blog about shortly.

E came home with his very first certificate from school – that was definitely a proud mummy moment!

Proud Mummy moment. First certificate that E has been awarded from school. #happyfriday everyone! x

February M turned 2 at the beginning of this month and we celebrated in style by throwing a Minion themed party.

I worked crazy hours on top of the day job which saw me spend too much time infront of the laptop and not enough time with my family. Things thankfully did improve once the project went live and we enjoyed a great day out at Diggerland

March
I finally took the plunge and started my own monthly linky “Our Favourite Five” It’s a small linky at the moment with a few regular bloggers who link up each month but I love writing about my favourites each month and hope more bloggers will join in this year.

Mother’s Day was a testing one – M was at his peak of stropping and tantrums which felt like they lasted forever. Thankfully I can safely say that they are a *little* more manageable now his speech has improved.

I lost my dear grandad who was battling with lung cancer.

We had a much needed short break at Clydey Cottages in Pembrokeshire It was the first holiday we’d been on where both hubby and I were also able to relax.

April
We attended our first Indian wedding and visited Bocketts Farm for the first time and it is now one our most favourite places to go. E had his first class assembly. He stood up and spoke his lines loudly and clearly – another proud mummy moment!

May
We were invited to celebrate Thomas’ 70th Birthday at the British Museum – the boys were in Thomas heaven!

E turned 5 and we threw a Star Wars themed party.

June We had a heatwave – remember that? E had his first Sport’s Day and then he got the dreaded pox on Father’s Day.

I did the Race For Life 5k and started Slimming World.

July
M caught chickenpox off of E and had it twice as bad.

We had a fantastic end of year school report from E and spend the summer on lots of lovey days out including Shrek’s Adventure, RHS Wisley and of course Bocketts Farm again.

August
This month saw us visit Bird World and our second visit to the Chilli Fiesta. We also went to Sealife Brighton and the beach. I went on a#CookWithNeff blogging day which saw me literally eat all day!

September
We took a short break and went to Warwick Castle before spending a couple of days at Alton Towers.

E started Year 1 and M started nursery, my grandma came over from Hong Kong and it was lovely to spend some time with her.

October
We went to an awesome Minions event in the half term holidays and the boys had lots of Halloween fun trick or treating with friends.

November
We went on a long weekend to Hamburg to visit a friend. The boys got to meet the real Father Christmas at LaplandUK and I won £300 of Love2Shop vouchers!

December
E went to KidZania for the first time for a birthday party.
We took the boys to see Disney on Ice and they were of course spoilt on Christmas Day with lots of presents!

That pretty much sums up our 2015 – how was yours?
