I’m the first to admit I am not great with fashion. I like wearing clothes that are comfortable and hide the “mum tum” but I do also like to be seen to be making an effort. When I’m at home my usual attire consists of jeans/leggings and a top. At work, I try and dress a little smarter and wear dresses so when I had the chance to review some from Simply Be I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to choose some styles for Autumn.

If you’ve not heard of Simply Be before they are a ladies plus size fashion brand and they have an array of clothing suitable for curvier women. Having had a browse through their website for skater dresses I came across this lovely Zig Zag pattern Swing Dress I thought the monochrome look would be perfect for the upcoming months as we prepare to head into Autumn/Winter.

The skirt is a little short for my liking as I prefer to have them knee-length but with Autumn/Winter coming I don’t mind wearing this with some thick black tights. I also added a trusty belt to the outfit so that it didn’t look like a tent and covered my arms with a cardi.

The next dress I chose was a classic twist knot black dress which I have completely fallen in love with. It is super comfy and I love the position of the twist knot as it nicely skims over my midsection.

I’ve worn both dresses a few times now and they have both washed well with no need for ironing which is a huge plus! I’m looking forward to teaming them up with some boots for the milder weather.
