Where to Adventure Golf in London/Surrey
Are you looking for the best adventure golf in London and Surrey? Adventure golf, miniature golf or crazy golf are all basically variations of the same thing. A fun version of golf that works for pretty much all ages and abilities.
Mini golf tends to be used as a bit of an umbrella term, and each version has its own little twists, but the main aim is the same — just to have fun (and maybe win, if your kids are anything like mine).
Adventure golf is exactly what it sounds like. You move through themed holes and little challenges as you go. Think dinosaurs, pirates, underwater worlds… the kind of thing that keeps it interesting even if you’re not that into golf. Crazy golf is usually a bit more about the obstacles and tricky shots.
The aim in all of them is simple — get the ball in the hole in as few shots as possible. Easier said than done once the competition kicks in.
If you’re looking for something easy, outdoors and just a bit competitive, adventure golf is a really good option for a family day out. And if your kids enjoy that kind of thing, tennis can be another good one to have in your back pocket too — we’ve ended up doing quite a few last-minute court bookings after school. I’ve put together a guide to tennis courts in Surrey with kids if you want to find somewhere local.

Who can play?
This is one of those activities that really does work for most ages. Little ones can join in (often for free if they’re under 3), but older kids and teens still enjoy it too – especially once the competition kicks in.
That said, it’s always worth checking the details before you go. Some places are more adult-focused, or have time restrictions for under 18s, especially in the evenings.
How much is Adventure Golf for a family?
Prices can vary quite a bit depending on where you go and how many games you play.
You’ll usually find family tickets or multi-game deals, which can make it a bit more reasonable if you’re planning to stay for a couple of rounds.
As a rough guide, you’re looking at around £19 for a family of four for one game at the cheaper end, and up to around £60 if you’re doing multiple games somewhere more premium.
Single tickets tend to be around £7–£12 per person.
It’s always worth checking the venue’s website before you go, as prices (and offers) do change quite often.
General rules
Every venue is slightly different, but most follow similar guidelines:
- Group sizes are usually limited (often around 5–6 people)
- There’s often a maximum number of shots per hole (usually 6)
- No swinging putters above ankle height
- Sensible footwear is expected
- No climbing on props or decorations
- Be mindful of other players waiting behind you
Nothing too complicated – just the usual “don’t get too competitive” reminders.

Conclusion
If you’re looking for something easy to organise, gets everyone outside and doesn’t require much planning, adventure golf is a really solid option.
It’s one of those things that works just as well for a quick after-school outing as it does for a weekend plan – and it usually ends up more competitive than you expect.
