Read with me – July roundup

read-with-me-new

Bit late with this one – we are almost already halfway into August and the school holidays! I wish the weather would make its mind up though as it really doesn’t feel like summer has even really started properly!

As usual – grab a cuppa and enjoy reading.

A letter to my little love
This post from Laura is a letter to her little boy Ted. She is currently 25 weeks pregnant with baby number two and writes her thoughts and feelings on Ted becoming a big brother and their family changing from a unit of three to four. I remember having those exact same feelings and worries when I was pregnant with M. It’ll be tough in the beginning as you adapt to having two children but it is so worth it. My boys fight like tooth and nail some days but most days they are the best of friends and love playing and cackling with each other. @Loz83g

12 things I’ve learnt during my kids first year at school

Another great post from Claire over at Life, Love and Dirty Dishes. I could have written this post as its all so true. Never did I ever think that with E starting school I would become his personal PA for school and social life. Frantically trying to remember when to return forms/money and be the recipient of many a random item “hand made” by my dear son. If your child has just finished reception and about to go into Year 1 – this is worth a read. You’ll be nodding along to them all! @lifeloveanddd

Working from home with children. Alternate title  – How to ruin a perfectly good day
This post from Pink Pear Bear really resonated with me. I work from home one day a week and sometimes it can be really challenging – especially at the moment when I have both boys at home. The minute you have something very important to get on with or have to make an important phone call – they suddenly need your attention. Working from home with kids is certainly not easy! @pinkpearbear
