Alice Holt

A fab place to spend the day outdoors. There are four walking trails, two cycle trails and a play area. There’s also a big seating area where you can have a picnic or grab a bite to eat in the cafe. Car park charges apply.

Brooklands Community Park

A park and playground rolled into one. Brooklands Community Park has a huge area for kids to ride their bikes/scooters. They can also bring their skateboards too. There’s usually an ice cream van parked in the summer and you can easily spend a good few hours there. Parking is free but the car park does get busy.

Bushy Park, Hampton

Bushy Park has a large adventure playground, a sandpit, swings and more. They also have a dog-free area in the Woodland Gardens which is ideal for kids to run around in. The Pheasantry Cafe inside here sells a good range of food for lunch too.

Box Hill, Dorking

Let the kids run around and be free amongst the beautiful views of Box Hill. There’s a Play Trail they can follow that has trees and structures they can climb on too. There are charges for parking if you aren’t a National Trust Member.

Cobham Mill

Explore the only surviving working watermill in Surrey. Park your car in Cobham and walk to the mill on foot.

Deen City Farm, Merton

An urban farm where you can meet a variety of animals in a rural environment where children can learn where their food comes from.

Admission is free but there are charges for pony rides and animal feed.

Frensham Great Pond

With a man-made beach, Frensham Great Pond is a great place to visit when the sun is shining. There are also woodland trails to go on too.

Horton Country Park

Open all year round Horton Country Park is 400 acres in size. You can enjoy a walk, cycle your bike and look out for nature.

Priory Park, Reigate

An amazing play area with sand and water play, there’s also tennis courts, a skate park, cricket, croquet, football and a multi-use games area. There’s a cafe in the centre of the park selling pizza, sandwiches and drinks.

Mayfield Lavender

Wander around the beautiful lavender fields and take some Insta worthy photos. Children can hunt in the fields for bugs to catch and will receive a treat in return. There is a cafe and gift shop on site. Children are free, Adults cost £2.50. Parking is also free.

Mercedes Benz World

There are three floors of interactive exhibits and attractions. There’s even a virtual racing simulator zone. Entry and parking is free.

The Living Planet Centre, Woking

Home to the WWF Experience, The Living Planet Centre features four interactive zones to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the wild. There’s also a Treasure Hunt for kids.

The Lightbox, Woking

An interactive museum of the town’s history, there are also two spacious galleries which are at an additional cost. Lots of events and child-friendly workshops are available throughout the year.

Winchester Discovery Centre

A library, theatre, cafe and gallery rolled into one. There are plenty of activities and events over the summer to entertain the kids including Rhyme and Storytime and a Construction Club.
