A-Z Cooking with Kids – Easy Peasy Pitta Bread Pizza

The lovely Becky over at 3 Princesses and 1 Dude has organised a wonderful A-Z Blog Hop to give us some inspiration on cooking with our kids in the summer.

My boys love helping me cook and were it not for our tiny galley kitchen I would probably do a lot more with them both in the kitchen. One of their most favourite things to do is make Pizzas.

So I have chosen the letter P.

P for Pizza

This super easy to do and is great for play dates – it’s one of our tried and tested activities when we have friends over and best of all? The kids can create their Pizza masterpieces on the dining room table!
You will need:

  • A pack of Pitta Bread
  • Tomato Purée
  • Tablespoon for spreading out the Tomato Purée
  • Grated Cheese
  • Any Pizza toppings you fancy. We normally have Peppers, Sweetcorn, Ham, Salami/Pepperoni

Method
Before you start, preheat the oven at 180°c Chop up all the ingredients and place them in bowls and place on the dining room table. Hand out one Pitta Bread per child and assist them with spreading Tomato Purée onto it.

The fun part!
Let them pick and choose which toppings to add to their Pizza and pop them in the oven for around 5 minutes when done.

That’s it!

I serve them with garlic bread and coleslaw and sometimes with some carrot sticks and cucumber.
