Chinese New Year & Ikea – Living Arrows 4/52
We celebrated Chinese New Year at the weekend, well I say we celebrated – what I mean is we ate lots of food and the boys got their lucky “lai see” red packets and I cooked us a New Year meal.
On Saturday we took a trip to Ikea as I wanted to find a solution for the coats that are usually just dumped in our porch. We weren’t successful on that front but the boys did get new memory foam pillows which they were super excited about. They call them “cloud” pillows so at least it wasn’t a wasted trip.
We had a relaxed one on Sunday catching up with homework and chores. I cooked our New Year dinner and made char siu (barbecued pork), salt and pepper prawns and steamed sea bass.
It’ll be a busy one this week, preparing for M’s party at the weekend. I can’t believe he’s going to be 7!
I’m sharing weekly photos of the boys to celebrate their childhood and linking up to the Living Arrows linky

We had a trip to Ikea yesterday too to sort out coats and shoes! Our trip was a bit more successful than yours – I hope you find a solution soon x
I am glad I am not the only one that gets mad with coats dumped by the front door. The pillows sound great! I have not been to Ikea for ages. Happy New Year the meal sounds delicious
