Running for the school, Sports Day and the School Fayre – Living Arrows 25/52

It’s that busy part of the school year at the moment as we head towards the summer holidays. The boys each have a school trip coming up, Sports Day and also their Summer concert – that’s just the parts I have remembered! I am pretty sure there is more to add to that list.

The boys had a busy week last week. E was chosen to run for the school on Wednesday in a Summer Relay event for all the Year 3, 4 and 5s in the area. They all did really well, and out of over 36 teams they finished in the top half of the board.

M had his Sports Day on Friday, and I don’t know what it is but seeing his class in their PE Kit made them all look smaller than usual! M had lots of fun going around different activities. He did well in basketball and managed to get the ball in the hoop. It’s so high compared to how tall he is, so he was mega chuffed with himself for the rest of the day. They left the track events til last which is always the highlight of Sports Day for me.

On Saturday it was the school fayre – the boys had been looking forward to it all week. I let them take £10 of their own money to spend, so it was spent on rides, winning things on the stalls and sweets.

As you can tell from the photo below, M was ridiculously happy to have won in the Drinks Tombola and chose to take home a bottle of coke.

The boys don’t drink fizzy drinks so I was rather surprised by how happy he was!

E chose to buy both Mr H and I a gift with some of his money which was really sweet of him. It was a lovely unexpected surprise.

I’m sharing weekly photos of the boys to celebrate their childhood and linking up to the Living Arrows linky

  1. It’s such a busy time of the year isn’t it? I always forget how busy the summer is until it comes round and then I’m rushed off my feet! x

  2. Summer term is so much fun at school! It looks like the boys had a fabulous time doing their sporting activities. M has her very first sports day with preschool next week; I’m really looking forward to it! #LivingArrows

  3. It sounds like you all had a lot of fun! Our sports day and summer fair were both before half term so we’ve had quite a quiet time for this last month really 🙂 #LivingArrows
