Time for a new me

I had every intention at the beginning of this year to lose weight and start exercising again but with I was up to my eyeballs in work and things just spiralled from there.

I have put on a lot of weight in the last 6 months or so and I can feel it and I mean really feel it. I’m fuller in the face, my clothes are tighter and I’m way more conscious about the size of my belly than ever before. With summer literally here – this is not good. I can’t even really blame it on post-baby weight either as I managed to shed most of that due to suffering with post-pregnancy hyperthyroidism So… this is all my own doing.

I know a lot of us bloggers like to blog about their weight loss journey/diets etc and I’m not sorry to say that I will be another one of these bloggers. You see, I need a focus, a goal and I feel that if I blog about it regularly it will give me the motivation I need to a) start this journey and  b) when I falter (as I know inevitably I will) I’ll hopefully have these posts to look back on and remind myself how well I am (hopefully) doing.

Ultimately I’d like to lose around 3 stone but will focus on trying to lose a stone first and see how I go from there. I have signed up to Slimming World will start cooking some healthy organic meals. I am also going to start my Body Combat workouts again. I’ll be sharing my meal plans in an attempt to get organised.

It’s time for me to stop putting it off and make excuses I need to lose weight and get fit!
