First time ice skating – Living Arrows 48/53
Another week down and we are inching ever closer to December! I can’t tell you how excited the boys (especially M) is that December is just around the corner! He has been asking me over the last couple of weeks when the elves will come and when he can start opening his LEGO advent calendar. The excitement seems to have rubbed off on us because we’ve already been listening to Christmas music around the house and usually this doesn’t happen until at least December 1! Santa Baby came on the other day and now M is always asking Alexa to play it – except he gets the name of the song wrong and keeps saying “Baby Santa” instead which is just hilarious. He is so full of character that one – we’ve also been asking what they are going to put in their letters to Santa and he says he just wants “diet coke and some chocolate” just to get a laugh out of us.
We were invited to skate at Hampton Court Palace over the weekend which certainly got us feeling even more Christmassy than we already did. It’s only the second time the boys have been skating. The first time was a couple of years ago when we went to Lapland UK. E was very cautious about being on the ice and M was only 3 and didn’t fancy giving it a try so this was his first time on the ice. They both loved it and didn’t want the session to end! E grew so much in confidence with his penguin that he wants to try skating without it next time!
This weekend, we are off on our yearly trip to choose our Christmas tree for the year. We’ve had a Pines & Needles tree for the last few years now and they have been brilliant and have lasted us right through to the New Year!
I’m sharing weekly photos of the boys to celebrate their childhood and linking up to the Living Arrows linky

What a lovely setting for ice skating #livingarrows
It really was – I think we’re going to try and head back there again for an evening session! x
This looks like such a great place for a first ice skate! I used to go here every year with my friends – such a nice ice rink x
It was really good fun – can’t believe we never went before, its so local to where we live!
