Keswick

A small village at the southern end of Ullswater, Glenridding is quite a tranquil place to visit. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful then this is the destination for you. The area is popular with those who want a mainly walking based holiday with Aira Force, and for those with significant walking  and/or mountaineering experience, Striding Edge and Helvellyn are popular attractions. Remember to prepare thoroughly if you’re attempting either of these walks. A cruise on Lake Ullswater offers several opportunities to get off the boat and explore, catching a later boat back to your starting point.

Borrowdale

Just a few miles south of Keswick lies Borrowdale and its stunning valley, which is famous for its natural features and incredible views. It is a popular destination for walkers, climbers and those who love outdoor activities. It is a great place to visit if you are wanting to indulge in an interest in photography or painting, with Ashness Bridge a popular attraction for artists and photographers.
