The great british weather
Only in England can we have a lovely sunny day one day and then terrential rain the next. With Elfa from A Californian Mum in London’s mummy meetup re-scheduled on wednesday I took the boys to Squire’s Garden Centre in Twickenham instead. They got to plant some watercress seeds and decorate the pot and we got to have some lunch and a mooch around the garden centre. We’ve been to Squire’s numerous times before and find that they always have some kind of Create and Grow event on in the school holidays. This particular centre also has a small aquatic area which is an added bonus for the boy as they love looking at the fishies.
The torrential rain was awful. We managed to escape the majority of it being inside. The boys took advantage of being in their wellies and jumped into puddles at every opportunity.

ooh i love jumping into puddles. you can never get too old for that.
There’s just something about puddles that you just can’t resist jumping in them right?
This looks like such fun, I love it when you find a good puddle!
I know – the boys had great fun that day!
You’ve got to have indoor contingency plans in the UK, especially in summer! Where else in the world do your need a rain coat, wellies, umbrella, warm jumper, sun hat and sun cream for a day out?!
So very true Julia!
I think this sums up the Summer perfectly
Thank you for linking up
I would say so!
We’ve had so many weeks of rain here too, it really doesn’t feel like we’ve had a summer. The splashing puddles looks lots of fun though!
Agreed! And now we are onto Autumn already!
Its doesnt feel like summer! We were robbed hehe. #mysundayphoto
