I’ve previously written about ways we can reduce plastic waste and we can all certainly do our part in being kinder to the environment. It doesn’t have to mean making sudden drastic changes. In fact, it’s probably best to commit to making smaller changes a little at a time. One of the easiest ways to do this is to start looking at making the switch to eco-friendly re-usable products rather than using single-use disposable products. Eco-friendly and sustainable cleaning products with Shorrock Trichem

We’ve been recently introduced to the EnviroShot range from Shorrock Trichem. Their eco-friendly cleaning products are free of single-use plastics and are created using a biodegradable composition. Their packaging is also compostable and biodegradable, inching you closer to achieving zero waste.

We were sent the bathroom surface cleaner as well as the glass steel cleaner which I couldn’t wait to test out. We live in a hard water area and I can never seem to remove all the limescale buildup from our shower screen no matter how hard I try. So I was really interested to see if the glass & stainless steel cleaner would do the trick.

The cleaners come in a box of 20 capsules that you mix with warm water in a reusable spray bottle. Each capsule makes up 750ml worth of solution. A box of 20 capsules will give you around 15 litres of solution for just over £10 which is great value.

Back to my limescale problem – as you can see from the photos below, the solution did a good job with the limescale on my shower screen, however, it didn’t remove it all completely. I am hopeful that with more use over time it will eventually go.

It’s recommended to spray the solution directly onto a microfibre cloth and not directly onto the area you are wanting to clean. You then either use the cloth to buff the surface or use a squeegee until dry. The solution has a pleasant fragrance and is streak-free. I found it super easy to use along with the microfibre cloth and my taps came up very sparkly and shiny!

Next up, I made up the solution for the bathroom surfaces cleaner which kills 99.9% of bacteria and can be used on all bathroom surfaces. I really loved the smell of this one!
