Feeling sorry for myself
I recently wrote a post on learning to take better care of myself as I’ve been having some issues with imbalance, migraines and tinnitus.
I saw the ENTS specialist a couple of weeks ago and underwent a set of hearing tests. This determined that whatever is happening with my ear is located in the inner ear. I had my MRI last week and I get the results tomorrow.
This last week or so I’ve not really felt myself. I’ve been getting migraines that come on so suddenly that I have to stop what I’m doing and lie down. I’m not too sure if these might be stress related.

Last week when I was buying food for M’s birthday party I was just not “with it”. I feel I didn’t do a great job with the party or put as much effort into things as I would normally have done and I think it is just down to all these symptoms that I’m having which seem to be getting progressively worse.
Thankfully I didn’t feel too bad on the day of the party so I was able to at least enjoy the day and see my boys have fun.
I’ve had tinnitus all week and at times the ringing is SO loud it’s hard to focus on anything else. I also seem to be more tired than usual and very forgetful which is not like me at all.
Poor Mr H has had to take on more of the household responsibilities (no bad thing) but then I feel guilty because these things are usually done by me.
The last few days my left nostril has been causing me pain and is congested. The mucus that comes out is very dry and bloody which makes me think I have some kind of infection.
I’m a little nervous about tomorrow, on the one hand, it will be good to find out what is actually wrong so I can it can be treated but on the other hand, I am worried about what the results might be.
According to Google it could be a possibility that I have Meniere’s Disease of which there is no cure. Medication is also not guaranteed to relieve the symptoms other things that came up based on my symptoms were Sinusitis or the dreaded C word. There is also a lot of advice about eye tests, eye health and checking your eyewear is suitable for your needs when looking online as well.
Whatever it is I just hope it can be treated.
Wish me luck!

![[AD] The sun has finally made an appearance and the boys have been making the most of it by spending it
in the garden.
They’re go-to is always football and they’ve been trying to improve their aim and accuracy with the new Messi Foldable Footlball goal from the #MessiTrainingSystem range.
I love the fact the goal is foldable, making it easy to store away when not in use. It is also lightweight so you can effortlessly pack it up  and take it to the park or to a friend’s house.
The Messi Foldable Football Goal retails at £36 and can be purchased from @argos

Well now we know that you are cleared!! I’m very happy that you don’t have any of the things that you were worried about. Don’t be hard on yourself. It is completely normal to stop doing all your responsibilities if you are not feeling well. And it is great that the hubby can help!! I’m sure you will feel much better very soon!! Sending your way lots of virtual kisses and hugs!! 🙂 xx
good luck! i hope it all gets sorted soon x #KCACOLS
I hope you start to feel better soon. Tinnitus is such a horrendous thing to go through, my brother has suffered all of his life with it. Big hugs #KCACOLS
Good luck! We hope it’s not serious and wish you the best. My mummy suffers from stress related migraines that are triggered when she’s run down…or had too much cheese! Chin up sweety x #KCACOLS
I hope you’re feeling 100% better soon and you get to the bottom of what’s causing your symptoms!
Fingers crossed for you it is something easy to treat, migraines are so nasty. #KCACOLS
Oh no I feel your pain. I had many tests for suspected menier’s disease after suffering many years of the worst headaches and dizzy spells. It has been put down to an imbalance in my inner ear and i take medication when I have a bad spell. I hope you manage to find something to help ease the symptoms soon x #KCACOLS
I hope they get to the bottom of it and you’re feeling better soon! Don’t feel guilty about any of it – we all have times when we just need that extra help. x #KCACOLS
Aww poor you hun, I hope they managed to figure out what’s going on soon and you don’t have to go thru too many more tests x
#kcacols
I’m so sorry to read that you still aren’t better and that you are really having a bad time of it lately! Here’s hoping your results come back soon and that whatever it is, is treatable and you’ll soon be as right as rain.xx #KCACOLS

Debbie
I understand the feeling. It’s no fun getting an uncureable illness especially one that makes you really sick. I’ve been feeling sorry for myself too lately as it’s been so so difficult just to do simple tasks. Angela x popping by from #KCACOLS
Best of luck and get better soon! I have learned from experience though that the worst thing one does is using Google to find a diagnosis hehe. x
#KCACOLS
I think in these situations Google is best avoided, but it does sound I hope you get some good news from your results tomorrow and feel better soon x #kcacols
I hope the doctors find out what’s going on and it can be treated. Sorry to hear you’re feeling so rubbish. Don’t Google symptoms, Google always thinks the worse. I hope you start feeling better soon xx #kcacols
Ah good luck & try not to worry until you get your results. Google is a wonderful thing but maybe avoid looking up your symptoms. #kcacols lifeinthemumslane
Sorry to hear you have not been feeling so good. But glad that the doctors are on it, whatever they say the problem is, at least you will know and they can treat or hopefully cure the problem. At times like these, we need to count our blessings for what we do have and in your case I think it is a wonderful family.
Sending love and positivity.
Amanda. #kcacols
So sorry you’ve not felt well and had a tough time – Do let us know how you get on tomorrow. Sending positive vibes your way xx
Sorry that you are not feeling well. I hope the doctor is able to put your mind at ease and that whatever the problem is can be resolved quickly without too much stress or disruption to your life. Good luck! xx #KCACOLS
Oh no! Sounds like you’ve had a bad week…whatever the outcome of the doctor it’s good you’re taking action #KCACOLS
Oh dear. Sounds like you need some decent rest! Hope you find out what you can do to make yourself feel better. Take good care xxx #kcacols
I hope you feel better soon and that the news from the doctor is helpful #KCACOLS
Oh Maria, it sounds like you are really suffering at the moment. I think anyone would find it challenging to operate when they feel as awful as you have. I really hope that the Doctor is able to give you a diagnosis, and hopefully for something that is treatable. Stay away from Dr Google, it only ever makes you worry more than you did in the first place! Fingers crossed for you lovely x Emily #KCACOLS
Oh dear things do sound rough at the moment. I hope you get your results and it can be treated. xx #KCACOLS
Sending hugs and good wishes. I hope the doctor’s appointment goes well
Oh goodness. Poor you. That sounds really horrible. Will be thinking of you and hope you get some positive news and relief #KCACOLS
I’m so sorry to hear this lovely! Ironically I was at the doctor yesterday for a hearing test. I too have tinnitus (I just learned that’s what it’s called yesterday!) I have a heart beat sound in my ear. They are thinking of putting a little tube in my ear, I can’t think of the official name now. That’s supposed to stop the sound & fluid build up. I hope your issue gets sorted out quickly for you! #KCACOLS x
Oh it sounds like you are going through it at the moment! Its awful when your ill as it interferes with everything especially when you just want to go to bed and cant. I hope you get the answers you want/need and feel better soon. Stay away from Google!! 🙂
#KCACOLS
Really sorry to hear this. Google is often the enemy in these situations as it never suggests the less severe (and often more likely) possibilities. As you say, once you know what’s wrong you can tackle it but I do hope that you have some respite from the tinnitus soon xx #KCACOLS
Hope you’re feeling better soon! It’s so tough when you’re not feeling on top form, we have so many responsibilities that have to be left to other people which is even more stressful. xx #KCACOLS
Sounds horrible – hope you feel better soon. I was wondering about sinusitis reading this. Good luck with the results – hope it is nothing too worrying. #KCACOLS
Oh good luck. I do hope everything is ok and you can start to feel better soon. #KCACOLS
I work with people with tinnitus and hearing loss and for many it really gets them down.Sorry you’re not feeling 100% hopefully you’ll be feeling better soon xx #kcacols
Oh Maria this sounds awful! good luck and i hope they can find find out what it is a treat it. Google is never the best place to research what could be making you feel unwell! #KCACOLS
Oh poor you! I sympathise hugely as I also have similar issues. I just got my appointment through today for ENT (for the end of April!) to investigate further. It’s hard not knowing what is wrong when you feel so poorly, lots of love. #KCACOLS
Oh what a horrible list of symptoms. It’s rubbish feeling poorly and trying to parent. I really feel for you and I hope you get some answers #KCACOLS
Ah you poor thing. Sounds like you’ve been through a lot. Very brave of you to share. Great that you’ve had a thorough investigation. I hope you get well soon. #KCACOLS
Aw I can totally relate to your symptoms. Last month I had an awful ringing in my ears and later that evening felt really off balance and like I was going to faint which made me totally freak out. I went to the docs for an emergency appointment and vommed in his office (ew!). Turned out I had a blockage in my ear tracts which confused my little brain. I had to steam for a couple of weeks. I really hope your results are okay and it’s nothing too serious. Hoping its not meniere’s. #KCACOLS x
Bless you. I hope the results are good and that you’re feeling better soon.
Laura xx
#KCACOLS
I’m so sorry you’re unwell. I hope you get good results and feel better soon #kcacols
Really hope that you feel better soon, migraines and tinnitus are absolutely awful completely stopping you in your tracks. I had them through my pregnancy so I emphasis with you. Fingers crossed for good news with the results. Claire x #KCACOLS
I’m so sorry you are going through this. I hope the results showed nothing sinester and that you’ll feel back to normal very soon. Sending lots of hugs #KCACOLS
Nadia – ScandiMummy x
Try not to be hard on yourself regarding the party and the household chores. We can’t all be on top form all of the time. And with your health suffering at the moment you have a very good excuse to rest up. I really hope the results come back with something treatable and not at all scary. Good luck. #KCACOLS
I hope you get it all sorted, and soon as well. Dr Google, whilst tempting, can also be a dangerous thing to read. Hope it is something that can be treated. Take Care. #KCACOLS
I hope you’re feeling better soon. Migraines are vile – I’m on medication for life to prevent them Xx #KCACOLS
