My Big Boy
A few weeks ago my biggest boy turned six. I honestly cannot believe I have been a mum for six years and I am already starting to see some changes in him.
Over the last week or so he has started to get his own glass of water by taking the water filter out of the fridge himself and has started asking to do more things by himself like putting his own toothpaste on his toothbrush.
I know these things sound small but for me, they all signify the undeniable fact that he is wanting to become more and more independent.
No matter what though – he will always be my little boy whether he’s six or sixteen!

Oh to have a 6 year old again, though I can assure you they still very much need you at 16 too!
They grow up so quickly, don’t they? Our boys (8 and 6) are so grown-up now and even Kara, at 4, is very much asserting her own independence whenever she can too.
This is a beautiful shot of your little man. I know what you mean about them suddenly seeming more grown up and wanting to do more om their own; and I always think six is a big milestone – closer to double digits than newborn.
I hope you had a lovely birthday celebrations

Aww! They grow up so fast don’t they….They’ll always be our babies though x
My eldest seemed to start being more independent when she hit 6…that will only last till she’s a teenager and she’ll go back to being lazy
Thank you for linking up
It’s a great feeling when they’re finding their way, to know that you’ve helped guide them there. Gorgeous photo
That is a really beautiful portrait of your boy, so well captured 🙂
A gorgeous photo Maria, oh time does fly because my boy is now a 24 year old man… when did that happen? The time went so quickly.
