M’s reading has come on in leaps and bounds since he started Reception last September. He loves a good story and even more so when he can relate to the book in some way.

We were recently sent a personalised children’s book from Chapterful to review. Chapterful enables you to create a story that centres around your child. The website allows you to design a character that resembles your little one by giving you the option to add in their name, choose the colour of their hair and whether they wear glasses.

I have to admit, I was expecting a few more personalisation options such as being able to choose different hairstyles and to be able to choose what colour pyjamas they wore (M’s favourite colour is red) but they do have the option to select whether your child is in a wheelchair which is a lovely touch and not something I’ve seen anywhere else.

With personalisation of the character complete, you can also add in a personalised message. The process is quick and easy and within minutes you are able to preview what your storybook will look like. From there, you then have the choice of choosing three different types of finishes for the cover – Softback, Hardback or Deluxe which is a cushioned cover.

We opted for the deluxe cover and it did not disappoint. The book has a lovely matt finish and the quality of pages inside was nice and thick too.

The story of Where next, Teddy? follows Teddy and your little one’s adventure from outer space to the bottom of the sea, the wild jungle to the big city amongst other exciting places. M loved the fact he was in a storybook on an adventure.

Where next, Teddy? is a lovely bedtime storybook. The illustrations are beautifully done and engaging for little ones to look at whilst you are reading. It’s one that M has enjoyed time and time again.
