Review: My First Encyclopedia of HOW?
M is 4 and will be due to starting Reception in September. I still can’t quite get my head around the fact that my baby is going to be starting school, but I do think he is ready. He’s a real social thing at nursery and he loves going to play and learn.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve noticed that he’s gotten a lot more inquisitive and is constantly asking questions. Recently, we were sent a lovely book from Moonlight Publishing called My First Encyclopedia of HOW?
My First Encyclopedia of HOW?
The book is part of the “My First Discoveries” set and is a lovely hardback book that is full of answers to questions that children ask about the natural world. It’s been perfect for the boys to flick through and look at, it’s even helped E on a few occasions with his homework too.
The encyclopedia is aimed at children aged 4 – 7 and is beautifully illustrated and is split into the following sections:
- the natural world
- the human body
- everyday life and
- human history
There is also a handy quiz at the end of the book where you can test yourself to see what you’ve learnt which is a great touch.
Overall, this is a really lovely book which is perfect for inquisitive minds. It’s already become a go-to book for the boys and is particularly useful when they ask me something that I don’t know the answer to!
