Peter Rabbit animated series- book review
The Peter Rabbit books were sent to me with the purpose of writing an honest review in exchange for the items. All images and opinions are my own.
When the new Peter Rabbit animation first came on Cbeebies last year E was absolutely hooked. He was quite excited when we were sent a set of the books to review. We received The Peter Rabbit Club, Happy Christmas and the Secret Treehouse sticker book.
Happy Christmas
The Happy Christmas board book is about Peter Rabbit, Benjamin and Lily who are on a missions to deliver presents to all their friends.
The book was perfect for M (who’s nearly 2), especially on the run up to christmas. He loved looking at all the beautiful illustrations and spent a good while pointing at all the different animals who, to him all looked like “doggies”
The pages are nice and sturdy so M could easily flick through the book himself.
The Peter Rabbit Club
The Peter Rabbit Club book is about Peter, Benjamin and Lily setting up their own adventure club but there is a trap for the unsuspecting bunnies! E enjoyed this story and seemed to really like the idea of being able to form your own club.
Secret Treehouse Sticker Book
The Secret Treehouse sticker book was the firm favourite of the set. E was so engrossed in this that he set about sticking away for a good 10 minutes. The activity book is filled with over 150 stickers and different activities such as finding all members of the Peter Rabbit Club, jigsaws, colouring and creating your own gadget (with stickers of course!)
Verdict
I fondly remember the classic Beatrix Potter books from my childhood. I’m so pleased this has been re-vitalised for the next generation! These new set of books from the animation series really do not disappoint. Both of my boys really enjoyed them. Infact they have been fighting over who gets to stick what in the sticker book!
