Parenting Perfection vs. Reality with Sudocrem

People’s lives can look pretty perfect on social media. The mums that look like they’ve stepped out of a fashion magazine, the children who are all smiles for the camera and then there are the beautifully styled homes without any clutter or mess to be seen anywhere. It can often leave you wondering whether what is being portrayed really is the full picture.
I have to admit I have been guilty of clearing away the clutter before snapping a photo for Instagram because no one needs to see the mess in my house. There’s always toys sprawled all over our living room floor and the boys are always leaving empty cups and plates on the side.
Sudocrem have recently launched their Parenting Perfection vs Reality campaign which is aimed at reminding us that what we see online and on social media is most definitely not as perfect as it seems. They want us to celebrate the real life moments: the tantrums because you dared give them the banana they asked for, the messy faces from eating dinner, the new “artwork” that has been drawn on your walls. There is so much pressure to appear “perfect” when such a thing just doesn’t exist.
