Update the TV table

If you’re like most people, you have a TV in your living room. Over the years, TV screens have gotten bigger, which means that TV tables have gotten bigger too. They take up a lot of space in the living room, so it is essential your TV unit looks good. In order to achieve this, you can either buy a new TV unit – solid wood ones will make your home look much more sophisticated – or you can upcycle the existing one with a little paint and some creativity.

Change the cushion covers

If you’re looking for a really simple, really low-cost way to revamp your living room then simply switching out your existing cushion covers and throws for those using a different fabric is a really good way to do that. It’s amazing how much different your living room can look when you change those monochrome geometric fabrics for flirty floral ones, for example.

Hide your clutter away

We all accumulate clutter, but if your living room is overflowing with toys, books, magazines, and… you get the idea, it can look pretty bad. The good news is, hiding your clutter is as simple as investing in a storage ottoman, a new set of shelves and maybe a few wicker baskets which will also add a decorative feature. Once the clutter is hidden away, your living room will be so much more relaxing.

Rearrange the furniture

Rearranging the furniture in your living room might not seem like it would make much difference, because, after all, it’s still the same stuff. However, changing the placement of things really can change the energy of the room and give you a fresh appreciation for pieces of furniture you’ve had for years, so why not give it a try?

Throw down a rug

Adding a rug to the room is a great way to add a new style, pattern or colour palette to the room without changing absolutely everything in it, and at this time of year, in partc=icular it can add a warm and cosy feeling to the living room too.

As you can see, you don’t have to totally redecorate your living room to revamp it – there are lots of smaller changes you can make that will, nevertheless, have a big impact.
