Find local childcare easily with childcare.co.uk

I returned to work after having had E when he was ten months old. I was going back four days a week and knew that I’d have to start thinking about our childcare options.

Our original plan was to have my mum and my mother-in-law look after him for two days each, but in the end, my mum was unable to help out which meant having to look at alternative solutions.

childcare.co.uk is the UK’s largest childcare website that enables parents and carers to find childcare local to their area. Whether you’re looking for a nursery, childminder, nanny or babysitter the site will help you find a solution to your childcare needs, all from the comfort of your own home. We’d already decided to go down the childminder option before we came across their site which helped narrow down our search considerably.

Registering on the childcare.co.uk site is free and takes just a few minutes. When you create your profile, you’re able to input your childcare requirements so that suitable carers can message you to discuss your needs further. This can be done via their messaging service, phone or email.

I was also able to enter my postcode to bring up a list of the childcare providers closest to me. From there, I could view their profile(s) to see their qualifications, experience, services and most importantly read previous reviews from parents whose children had been in their care.

Having not had anyone outside of the family look after E before, I found looking at potential minders on childcare.co.uk really useful to gauge whether their setup and environment would suit him. E was a social little thing so I wanted him to be able to interact with other children of a similar age.

Once my profile was complete, I had a few potential childminders contact me, they answered the questions I had, and I arranged to see a few of them in person before finally making our decision. The whole process was straightforward and stress-free.

I wouldn’t hesitate to use childcare.co.uk again in the future. From using their services, we were with our first childminder for over two years. E was in a home away from home and thrived in the environment and was really happy there.

As well as being able to look for nurseries, childminders and babysitter London, childcare.co.uk also allows you to search for private midwives, schools and tutors too.

The site makes looking for local childcare a smooth and easy process so if you’re looking for childcare solutions to suit your needs, it’s definitely worth looking at childcare.co.uk.
