Easter Activities for children in and around Kingston
With only a few weeks left until Easter and aside from ALL the chocolate the kids will be consuming – have you thought about how to entertain them over the Easter break?
I thought it would be useful to put together a list of Easter Activities in and around the Kingston area.

Thames Ditton Miniature Railway

It’s no secret that my boys are HUGE train fans. We have been regulars at this miniature railway ever since E was old enough. It’s a great afternoon of fun for the whole family. There are a variety of miniatures to ride on, a small shop selling sandwiches, cakes and drinks but you can also bring your own picnic to enjoy too.
The miniature railway opens on Easter Sunday 27 March and Monday 28 March from 2-5.30pm and then the first Sunday of every month until October.
Tickets start from £2 for a single ride or £24.50 for a family of four.
Wyvale Garden Centre

Selected Wyvale Garden Centres (the closest ones to Kingston are Syon Park, Lower Morden or Weybridge) are holding a special Easter event where you have breakfast or tea with the Easter Bunny!
The children will be able to:
- Meet the Easter Bunny and choose a cuddly toy
- Decorate an Easter cookie
- Munch on mini chocolate eggs
- Go on an Easter Bunny egg hunt
We have booked to take the boys on Good Friday as a special treat but have not told them about it yet! I can’t wait to see how excited they will be about it.
Breakfast or Tea with the Easter Bunny is from 14th – 28th March
Tickets are £9.99 per child; adults are from £3.99.
Bocketts Farm

Another one of our favourite places which again, we went to last Easter. E saw a baby lamb being born on the day we went, and it was absolutely amazing. There are lots to do at Bocketts Farm. With animal handling sessions, Easter Trail, Pig Racing, Pony and Tractors Rides – be prepared for a full days’ worth of fun!
Easter Eggstravaganza is from Friday 25th March – Sunday 10th April
Tickets are£9.50 for adults, £9.95 for children aged 3-17, £8.30 for children aged 2, and under 2s are free
Claremont Gardens
I took the boys to this Egg hunt last year, and it was great fun! You go around the gardens searching for clues to solve a puzzle, and at the end of it, your Cadbury chocolate prize awaits – great Easter Fun!
The Easter Egg Hunt is from 25-26 March from 10.30am-16:00
£3 per child (usual admission fees apply to enter the gardens)
Squire’s Garden Centres
Hunt for hidden bunnies in and around the centre and receive a Lindt chocolate bunny or plant a lovely gorgeous bunny basket to take home. The nearest centres are in Long Ditton, Twickenham or Hersham.
The activities are from 29th March – 8 April from 10 am- 5 pm
The Bunny hunt is £2; Bunny Basket is £5.50 per child
RHS Wisley
There is so much to do over the Easter holidays at RHS Wisley. The Lindt Gold Bunny hunt being one of the main attractions. My boys have been doing this for the last couple of years and they love running around looking for the gold bunnies and are rewarded with a chocolate treat at the end. There are arts and crafts sessions, music, storytelling and much more – check the website for more information.
19th March – 10 April from 10-6pm
Activities are free but usual admission fee applies. Family (2 adults and 2 children) £37.75 Adults £14.50, children 5-16 years £7.25, under 5s are free.

![[AD] The sun has finally made an appearance and the boys have been making the most of it by spending it
in the garden.
They’re go-to is always football and they’ve been trying to improve their aim and accuracy with the new Messi Foldable Footlball goal from the #MessiTrainingSystem range.
I love the fact the goal is foldable, making it easy to store away when not in use. It is also lightweight so you can effortlessly pack it up and take it to the park or to a friend’s house.
The Messi Foldable Football Goal retails at £36 and can be purchased from @argos

Thanks for sharing this! RHS Wisley is a regular for us, as is Bocketts Farm, but I’d not heard of the Miniature railway – my little boy would love that!
The Miniature Railway is great fun – my boys love it and I’m sure yours would too! Thanks for reading! xx
