With the nights drawing in and summer swiftly becoming a distant memory, it can be a bit of a task to entertain the kids. We’re huge theme park fans and have spent most of our summer visiting various resorts with our Merlin passes, but they tend to close for the season at the end of October which means the boys need something to get their theme park fix.

We were recently sent a copy of Carnival Games from 2k, and we’ve all been hooked on it!

Carnival Games allows up to four players to enjoy classic funfair type games such as ring toss and alley ball racing as well as new games like drone racing and cosmic bowling.

As a family, we’ve loved gathering together on the sofa to compete against one another. One of our favourites games is Ghost Blaster where we go around shooting ghosts with lasers, the person with the most points at the end wins.

Another is a game called “Short Stack” where you have to collect as many cakes as possible and take them from one end to the other without dropping them to earn points. You need to watch out for your opponents who can knock them over which the boys have found it the most hilarious thing to do.

Throughout play, you collect tickets which allow you to unlock more games as you progress they also allow you to customise your characters too. Have a look at the video below to get a better idea of what the game is like.

Carnival Games has over 20 mini-games available, so there is definitely something for everyone.  We’ve thoroughly enjoyed and got addicted to the game and it’s currently one of our favourite things to play on the Nintendo Switch.

Carnival Games is suitable for children aged 3+ and is available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One or PlayStation 4. We’re looking forward to competing with friends and family over the Christmas break!
