What metrics should you be tracking from your Email list?
As bloggers, metrics and stats are a pretty big deal to us. It helps us identify our audience and work out what type of content they are more likely to engage with over others. It hard not to fret over our blog and social stats and but what about the metrics from your email list?
These readers have actively subscribed to receive your content direct to their inbox for a reason so we certainly shouldn’t overlook these metrics. They can help us create better content for our readers to engage with.
The main thing about email lists to focus on is what our ultimate goal is. Is it to grow the subscriber list? If so, offering exclusive content via your list that gives them added value will entice readers to sign up.
If its to gain feedback/engagement from your readers then you need to ask questions, prompt them to click a button or respond to the content you’ve created.
